100th Anniversary
Located at 7539 Avenue K in Magnolia Park, the parish began in 1925, when Mexican-American families first gathered for Mass in local homes. A small two-story church and rectory were built in 1926, and the current church building was dedicated in 1950. For nearly a century, the parish has served as a cornerstone of Houston’s East End Catholic community, offering bilingual worship, education, and outreach through changing generations.
Next year marks the 100th anniversary of the parish’s founding. To celebrate, a centennial website can highlight:
- A short history and timeline of the church
- Historic and current photos
- Community memories and stories
- Event details for the anniversary celebrations
The site will honor the parish’s legacy while inviting parishioners and alumni to share photos and memories that preserve its rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
